Snowstar's Here for a Reason (Magic)
For the last several months, Magic has been working with 'special needs' children. Snowstar Kennels is very proud to announce that; on Oct 20, 2013; Magic was certified as a St John Ambulance Therapy dog. Magic has already passed 250 visits and totalled up some 800 hours as a Therapy Dog, including many at public events.
Magic has also put in 24 hours ringing bells for the Salvation Army (see attached photo) - Dave and Magic are both in St John Ambulance uniform but 'seconded' for the kettle campaign. Magic doubles the hourly donations when he is working. He is now working at two secondary schools, one with 'life skills' and one with a reading and confidence building class as well as two seniors residences. He keeps busy!
In Sept. 2015 Magic was selected, along with 5 other dogs, for a trial programme with the RCMP Victim Services programme in British Columbia. Congratulations to Magic and his owner Dave Fletcher.
